Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of The Dead End website, Dead End ID, account services, downloads, stores, community and support features, and other platform services operated by The Dead End ("The Dead End," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating or using a Dead End ID, purchasing or accessing a product, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms and any policies or supplemental terms that expressly apply to the relevant product or service.
Product-specific terms may supplement these Terms for games, software, multiplayer services, subscriptions, virtual currency or items, purchases, community features, or other products. Supplemental terms do not replace these platform Terms unless they expressly say otherwise. If supplemental terms conflict with these Terms for a particular product, the supplemental terms control only for that product and only to the extent of the conflict.
2. ELIGIBILITY
The Dead End is a general-audience service and is not intended for children under 13. You may not create a Dead End ID if you are under 13. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the platform only with permission of a parent or legal guardian who accepts responsibility for your use where required by law.
You may not use the platform if applicable law prohibits you from receiving or using the services.
3. DEAD END ID
Dead End ID is the shared account and identity authority for The Dead End platform and compatible products. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your credentials, and maintaining control of the email address or other recovery methods associated with your account.
You may not sell, rent, transfer, impersonate, or share an account in a way that defeats security, ownership, licensing, sanctions, or access controls. Notify Support promptly if you believe your account or credentials have been compromised.
We may require email verification, additional authentication, reauthentication, or other reasonable security measures before allowing access to sensitive account functions.
4. PLATFORM AND PRODUCT LICENSE
Unless a separate written license says otherwise, The Dead End grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the platform and products made available to your account for their intended purpose.
Software, games, artwork, interfaces, logos, characters, text, audio, video, source code, executable code, databases, and other materials provided by The Dead End remain owned by The Dead End or the applicable rights holder. No ownership rights are transferred to you merely because you access, download, purchase, or use a product.
You may not copy, distribute, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, circumvent access controls, scrape protected data, exploit vulnerabilities, or create derivative uses of protected platform materials except where expressly authorized by The Dead End or where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to do so.
5. ACCEPTABLE USE
You may not use The Dead End to:
• break applicable law or encourage unlawful conduct;
• harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, or abuse another person;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent authorization;
• distribute malware, destructive code, spam, phishing, credential theft, or other harmful material;
• interfere with platform availability, security, logging, moderation, authentication, billing, or access controls;
• gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, data, products, or administrative functions;
• use bots, automation, cheats, exploits, modified clients, or other tools in violation of applicable product rules;
• manipulate purchases, entitlements, virtual items, rankings, multiplayer outcomes, or platform records;
• upload or distribute content you do not have the right to use; or
• use the service in a way that materially harms The Dead End, its users, its infrastructure, or third parties.
Additional conduct, anti-cheat, multiplayer, moderation, and community rules may apply to individual products.
6. USER CONTENT AND COMMUNICATIONS
Some features may allow you to submit support messages, profile content, posts, feedback, files, images, or other material ("User Content"). You retain ownership of rights you already hold in your User Content.
You grant The Dead End a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, display, and otherwise use User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate, support, improve, or provide the feature through which it was submitted, and to comply with law.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit the User Content and that doing so does not violate law or the rights of another person.
7. PURCHASES, PRICING, AND PAYMENT
Prices, taxes, fees, currencies, product descriptions, purchase requirements, and availability are shown through the applicable Store or checkout flow. You agree to pay charges you authorize.
When third-party payment providers are used, their terms may also apply. The Dead End may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, billing metadata, or similar information needed to fulfill and support a purchase.
We may correct obvious pricing, listing, or technical errors before fulfillment where permitted by law. We will not intentionally use hidden charges or misleading pricing.
8. DIGITAL GOODS, LICENSES, VIRTUAL CURRENCY, AND VIRTUAL ITEMS
Games and software may include downloadable content, subscriptions, virtual currency, virtual items, licenses, entitlements, or other digital content.
Unless product-specific terms state otherwise, virtual currency and virtual items are licensed digital features, not money, bank deposits, stored value, or property with guaranteed cash value. They may not be sold, transferred, redeemed, or exchanged outside authorized platform functionality except where required by law.
Product availability, balancing, features, virtual economies, and content may change over time. We will not intentionally remove paid access in a manner that violates applicable consumer law or an express purchase commitment.
9. REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS, AND CHARGEBACKS
Refund and cancellation eligibility depends on the product, purchase method, fulfillment state, applicable supplemental terms, and applicable law. Any posted refund policy or checkout disclosure forms part of these Terms for the relevant purchase.
Nothing in these Terms removes refund, cancellation, warranty, or other consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
Fraudulent chargebacks, payment manipulation, or abuse of refund systems may result in suspension of purchasing privileges or account action, subject to applicable law.
10. SUBSCRIPTIONS
If The Dead End offers recurring subscriptions, the checkout flow will disclose the price, billing interval, material renewal terms, and available cancellation method before purchase. You authorize recurring charges until cancellation takes effect according to the disclosed terms.
Cancellation stops future renewal charges but does not automatically create a right to refund amounts already charged unless required by law or stated in the applicable offer.
11. MULTIPLAYER AND ONLINE SERVICES
Games or other products may include multiplayer, online, ranked, social, or persistent services. Availability may depend on servers, internet connectivity, compatible software, account standing, maintenance, and product-specific rules.
The Dead End may moderate multiplayer services and take reasonable action against cheating, exploitation, harassment, fraud, abuse, or conduct that threatens service integrity. Game-specific supplemental terms may describe sanctions, resets, suspensions, bans, progression changes, virtual currency rules, and other multiplayer requirements.
12. MODERATION, SUSPENSION, AND TERMINATION
We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate access to an account, feature, product, community area, or service when we reasonably believe it is necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users or systems, investigate abuse or fraud, comply with law, or protect the integrity of a product or service.
Where reasonable and legally permitted, the severity and duration of action should reflect the nature of the violation. Serious security abuse, fraud, cheating, unlawful conduct, repeated violations, or attempts to evade prior sanctions may justify immediate action.
You may stop using the platform at any time. Account deletion or closure may remain subject to legitimate retention requirements for transactions, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and other purposes described in the Privacy Policy.
13. DOWNLOADS, UPDATES, AND SERVICE CHANGES
Products may receive patches, updates, balancing changes, feature additions, removals, migrations, or security changes. Some online or hosted features may require current versions.
The Dead End may modify, suspend, replace, or discontinue features or services. When a change materially affects a paid service or legal right, we will provide notice or remedies when required by law or by the applicable purchase terms.
14. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
The platform may link to or integrate with third-party services, payment providers, hosting providers, social platforms, app stores, or other external services. Those services are operated under their own terms and privacy practices. The Dead End is not responsible for third-party services it does not control, except to the extent responsibility cannot be excluded by law.
15. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Dead End name, branding, Gear-head and other characters or mascots, logos, product names, original artwork, site design, software, games, and other protected materials may be trademarks, copyrighted works, trade dress, confidential information, or other intellectual property of The Dead End or its licensors.
No license to use The Dead End branding or intellectual property for commercial, misleading, counterfeit, or unauthorized derivative purposes is granted by these Terms.
16. FEEDBACK
If you voluntarily provide ideas, suggestions, bug reports, feature requests, or other feedback, you permit The Dead End to use that feedback without restriction or payment to you. This does not transfer ownership of unrelated User Content or confidential material that we expressly agreed in writing to treat as confidential.
17. PRIVACY AND SECURITY
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, shared, retained, and protected. By using the platform, you acknowledge the practices described there.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using reasonable account-security practices, and The Dead End will use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the information and services involved.
18. DISCLAIMERS
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PLATFORM AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." THE DEAD END DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT EVERY FEATURE WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE, ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY DEVICE OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICE.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, or consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded.
19. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEAD END WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR LOST DATA, ARISING FROM USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEAD END'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR A CLAIM RELATING TO A PAID PRODUCT OR SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO THE DEAD END FOR THE PRODUCT OR SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY OR THE MINIMUM AMOUNT REQUIRED BY LAW.
These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.
20. INDEMNITY
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of the platform, your material violation of these Terms, or User Content you submit in violation of another person's rights. This section does not require you to indemnify The Dead End for its own unlawful conduct.
21. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms as the platform, products, or law change. The current version and publication date will be available through the platform.
Material changes may require renewed acceptance through Dead End ID. We will not treat a silent Terms update as permission to materially expand use of personal information in a manner inconsistent with the Privacy Policy or applicable law.
22. DISPUTES AND APPLICABLE LAW
If you have a problem with the platform, you are encouraged to contact Support first so we can attempt to resolve it.
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from exercising rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived, including rights available under applicable consumer-protection law.
23. SEVERABILITY AND NO WAIVER
If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
24. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, applicable purchase disclosures, and any product-specific supplemental terms form the agreement governing your use of the relevant Dead End services. They supersede prior platform terms on the same subject to the extent legally permitted.
